2016 KECC Spring Weight Loss Challenge!

2016 KECC Spring Weight Loss Challenge
Lose 9% of your body weight in 12 weeks and split the pot
When:  NOW – May 24, 2016
Who: All State Employees

Rules:

  • $20 to play (20% will go to KECC) – Payment due at the first weigh-in. No late payments will be accepted.
  • Register with Laura Negron (laurar.negron@ky.gov).*  Late registrations will be accepted. However, no additional time will be allowed (For example – if someone wants to join AFTER March 1, they can, but they will still only have until May 24 to meet their goal).
  • Each participant must submit an initial weight.  Weigh-ins must be at an approved site.  Please contact Laura Negron (laurar.negron@ky.gov) for weigh station options.
  • Verified off-site field staff weigh-ins are accepted.  Pre-approval required.
  • Participants must weigh in weekly (up to 2 missed weeks will be allowed).  If you miss more than 2 weeks, you will not be eligible to win.  If you will be out of the office, I can arrange for you to weigh in at home or off-site during those weeks, as long as they are not the first or last week.
  • Participants who have lost at least 9% of their initial body weight on May 24, 2016 will split the pot. (for example – 40 people pay $20 and submit their weights -- $800 in the pot.  At the end of the 12 weeks, 10 have lost 9% of their weight.  $160 would go to KECC and $640 is distributed evenly among the 10 winners with each earning $64)
  • Please note – participants will be given their goal weight at the initial weigh in.  Participants must be at or below their goal weight at the final weigh in.  Goal weight is based on the participant’s weight at the initial weigh-in.
  • Participants who meet their goal prior to May 24 must maintain the goal weight until the end of the challenge.
  • Everyone who loses 9% or more is guaranteed at least their money back.

*CHFS campus employees and CHFS field staff may contact Beth Morris at BethA.Morris@ky.gov to register and arrange for weigh-ins.
